Our Story
Loren and Susie are the owners of Anchor River Lodge and purchased this beautiful business and facility as an opportunity to continue the first class services to guests that it has been famous for providing for many years. Loren is the third of five sons raised in Homer by Howard and Beryl Myhill, who owned and operated the Homer Rexall Drug Store and were pioneers to AK in the 1940's. We love the incomparable scenery, clean air, abundant wildlife, and recreational opportunities available from this location. Susie has always loved AK since first visiting as a newlywed with Loren, and has now left her California roots to make her dream of living in the last frontier a reality. We know that you will love it here, and we look forward to serving you.
